The Ridgewood Public Library Foundation is dedicating an evening of celebration to the friends and donors of the Ridgewood Public Library on Friday, February 3rd at the home of Christopher and Carolyn Holt. The Foundation, an independent fund-raising arm for the library, aims to raise funds to improve the building, enhance the programs and services provided to our community and expand the reach of the library so that it may continue to meet the needs of our entire village population. Without our generous donors and their commitment to our library year after year, none of this would be possible.
Gifts from the foundation in 2016 and planned for 2017 focused on further reaching the library’s programming and accessibility into the senior, special needs and children’s community of Ridgewood.:
- Auditorium audio and visual improvements
- Assistive listening devices for the Auditorium programming
- Upgrades to the technology training center and public PCs
- Playaway Launchpads for children’s in house and tech lending programming
- STEM materials improvements (supporting earlier foundation donations)
The Foundation is also excited to announce six new board members, each bringing with them tremendous experience and expertise, and each excited to join the mission of supporting our library. John Atlas, Christine Bergantino, Catherine Choi, Thomas DeVita, William Guyla and Renu Vitale were enthusiastically approved as our newest board members for a two-year term.
The Foundation is honored to host this special event, recognizing those within our community who continue to make the Ridgewood Public Library a vibrant and essential center within our village.
